This policy explains how By Rob Studio handles your personal data when you use the Aevum Born website or game. We keep data collection to a minimum and we never sell it.
WHO WE ARE
Aevum Born is developed and operated by By Rob Studio, a sole trader based in Cornwall, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, By Rob Studio is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to the Aevum Born website (aevumborn.com) and the Aevum Born mobile application once released.
WHAT WE COLLECT
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Waitlist details. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. This is handled through our email provider, MailerLite.
- Analytics data. When you visit the website or use the app, we may collect anonymised or pseudonymised usage data such as pages visited, device type, approximate region, and referring source. This helps us understand how people use Aevum Born and where to improve it.
- In-app data. Once the game is released, we may store gameplay data needed to run the game, such as progress, creatures raised, and settings. Some of this may be stored on your device, and some may be processed by us or our service providers to support features like online play.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
HOW THIS MAPS TO APP STORE PRIVACY LABELS
To keep this policy consistent with the App Privacy information shown on the App Store, the table below sets out the data we may collect using Apple's own data categories, the purpose each is used for, whether it is linked to your identity, and whether it is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use any data for tracking.

This table reflects the data we expect to collect across the website and the released game. Before any build is submitted, we make sure the App Privacy labels in App Store Connect match the rows above. If our data practices change, we update both this policy and the App Store labels together. Where a data type is stored only on your device and never sent to us, it does not need to be declared as collected, and we treat on-device-only gameplay data on that basis.
WHY WE USE IT
We use the data above to: send you waitlist and launch updates you have asked for; understand and improve how the website and game perform; provide and maintain game features; and meet our legal obligations.
Our legal bases for processing are your consent (for example, joining the waitlist or accepting analytics where required), our legitimate interests in running and improving the game, and where relevant, performance of a contract when you use the app.
EMAIL AND THE WAITLIST
Waitlist emails are managed through MailerLite. When you join, your email address is stored and processed by MailerLite on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, and we will stop contacting you. MailerLite has its own privacy practices, which you can review on their website.
ANALYTICS
We may use analytics tools to measure traffic and usage. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers and may process limited technical information about your device and visit. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
SHARING YOUR DATA
We share data only with service providers who help us run Aevum Born, such as our email provider, analytics provider, and hosting and infrastructure services. These providers process data on our instructions. We may also disclose data if required to do so by law.
WHERE YOUR DATA IS HELD
Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data is protected by appropriate safeguards consistent with UK data protection law.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept in line with our analytics provider's retention settings. In-app data is kept for as long as needed to run the game and your account.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; object to or restrict how we use it; and request a copy in a portable format. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

CHILDREN
Aevum Born is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time as the game develops. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
